Paul Klee Hall Chair

I was commissioned to make a hall chair for a client in London who was developing an interesting art collection. In time I was strolling through The Beyeler Foundation near Basel, Switzerland when a Paul Klee drawing inspired me to design the required seat. The drawing was entitled 'A Gate', 1939.

The chair was made from English Elm boards with assistance from Taylor & Green.
