Elliptic Table & Chairs - Chairs

This design came about following a specific request from a client in Scotland who had previously commissioned an Elliptic II Seat in 2004. They particularly wanted the new design to make a direct link to the Elliptic Series II Seat, and I feel that we have achieved this with stunning results.

The chairs have stature and are built using the same technique as the larger Elliptic Seats. The main difference is that the backrest uses slated timber sections, which allows the wind to pass through the structure. The seats are large and work well together with the table design.

Width at front edge of seat: 490mm
Height of chair seat at front edge: 450mm
Width at top of back rest: 670mm
Timber: Western Red Cedar or Douglas Fir seat; the rest is in Ash
Timber treatment: Cuprinol Clear Wood Preservative
